- Maree Worth, our Year 2 teacher in Room 6, has decided to take some well-earned rest and the opportunity to travel with her husband. Over the past two years, Maree has been a passionate leader of our Enviro Team, guiding us to achieve the prestigious Silver Award for our environmental efforts just last month. This was a monumental achievement, a result of Maree’s tireless work alongside her team of eco-warriors, gardeners and the broader school community. We thank Maree for her service and the many students who have benefitted from her expertise.
- Katrina Van Roon has been part of our school community for the past seven years, predominantly teaching in Year 4 and above. Recently, Katrina has also taken on a role as a Within-School Lead teacher for our Kahui Ako group. Kohimarama has been Katrina's only teaching experience so far and she is now looking to broaden her professional horizons in another school environment. We thank Katrina for her dedication to the Kohimarama community and wish her all the best for the future.
- Reuben Holmes, who joined us as a beginning teacher three years ago, has grown into a strong leader in Te Ao Māori, particularly in his role with Kapa Haka. Reuben is now moving to work in a different environment, in a lower-decile area and we thank him for his contributions to our school, especially his leadership in the Māori cultural space. We wish him the very best in this next chapter of his teaching journey.
- Lucy Broadhead has been an integral part of our Kiri Team, helping to transition our youngest learners from early childhood settings into school life. Her nurturing approach has set countless students up for success in their ongoing learning. We are grateful for Lucy's dedication and service to our community.
- Tricia Hepburn is preparing for an exciting new chapter in her life—marriage and a move back home to Scotland in March. Tricia has been a teacher and Team Leader in our school, also leading our Mathematics team with great success. Additionally, her leadership with our cheerleading teams has led them to 1st and 2nd place finishes over the past two years. We congratulate Tricia on her upcoming wedding and wish her all the best for her future in Scotland.
