A Message from Hillary Team
With the start of the school year, Learning Space 17 thought about things we were saying hello to and things we were saying goodbye to. We wrote poems titled Hello - Goodbye. Here are three of LS 17's poems.

The Kohimarama Way - Respect/Whakaute
We know we are being successfully respectful when we treat others as we want to be treated, speak courteously to everyone, take special care of other people's belongings, are receptive to the wisdom of elders, honor the rules of our family, school and nation and expect respect for our body and our rights.

Roll Return 2025
Twice a year, all schools in New Zealand are required to furnish the Ministry of Education with a Roll Return detailing all students enrolled at their schools. This Return determines our funding and staffing for the remainder of the school year. If your child is going to be absent or late for any reason on Friday 28th February 2025, the office will require a letter or email from a parent/gaurdian justifying the student's absence from school. This correspondence is to be to the School Office at office@kohimarama.school.nz Thank you in advance
Student Fundraiser - Friday 28th February
We are raising funds for our World Vision child Nurnobi and are asking students to participate by bringing $2 to school and wearing their weekend clothes (mufti). They can also join in more fun by wearing wacky shoes (different shoes on each foot) or by being dressed as their favourite TV character. Please bring the $2 and give it to your child's teacher in the morning. Thank you for your support.
Kohimarama's Got Talent 2025
We have started this voluntary opportunity for our students already and seen some fabulous dancing and had some fun laughs with our comedians. Kohimarama's Got Talent will continue over the next week and we have to say we are very impressed with the calibre of our performing students so far.
Road Patrollers of the Fortnight
Thank you to all our Road Patrollers who have been on duty this year so far. You have made sure that we are safe when crossing the roads via the pedestrian crossings. We appreciate your service and leadership. Last week Rhys and Lilian were recognised as being the Road Patrollers of the fortnight at assembly - well done both of you.
